§ Work — EaseVisa · Web app + AI assistant

Deployed

An assistant that can act on the case, and undo it.

EaseVisa helps people prepare a Portuguese visa case. We built the app: a personal plan for every customer, and an assistant, Ease, that does the work instead of describing it.

§ 02 — The problem

Fifty tasks. Some expire. Most depend.

A Portuguese residency visa runs to about fifty tasks across three stages. EaseVisa wanted one app that turns them into a personal plan, with an assistant that does more than chat.

Order

The steps come in sequence

An FBI background check is fingerprinted, downloaded, then apostilled, in that order. The apostille alone can take weeks.

Expiry

Papers go stale

The FBI check has a shelf life, and it's judged again at the residency appointment in Portugal.

It depends

What applies changes

Married or not, a US citizen or not, D7 or D8: each answer switches tasks on or off.

§ 03 — Ease

The AI uses the same buttons you do.

Ease reads the customer's plan and can change it: answer a question, mark a task done, add a note, set a document's date. It works through the same actions as the app's own screens, so it can't do anything the customer couldn't.

Every change is labelled as Ease's, and the customer can undo it with one click. An assistant that can only talk leaves your staff doing the clicking.

  • Answers from sourced guidance, and says when it's unsure
  • Every change it makes is logged and can be undone

§ 04 — The app

A plan that knows what's next.

Each customer sees only the tasks that apply to them, what's waiting on something else, and what's done. Their lawyer sees the same case.

§ 05 — How we work

One engineer, a fleet of agents, every change reviewed.

Wavelength is Chris Sutton plus a fleet of AI agents. Chris scoped the app, made the design calls and directed agents that build in parallel, one piece each. Nothing merged until it was reviewed and its tests passed.

That's where the speed comes from, and why it holds up. The agents write most of the code. The decisions stay with the person you talk to.

The app is built and deployed in EaseVisa's own cloud account, and their launch is in progress.
